    Kylo Ren Bio:
    http://photos.vanityfair.com/2015/05/01/5543ca95801ffcbc36b3417b_vanity-fair-star-wars-01.jpg

Kylo Ren is user of the Dark Side of the force.  He is part of a group called the Knights of Ren.  From this group he has taken on the surname of Ren.  Ren for the group is thus similar to the use of Darth by the Sith Lords.   Kylo Ren has been shown holding the remains of Darth Vader's helmet.  Some have suggested that he is obsessed with older dark lord who died 30 years prior.

Kylo Ren has allied himself with the First Order a resurgent organization that has grown out of the remains of the Galatic Empire.

Kylo Ren is the son of Princess Leia and Han Solo and grandson of Anakin Skywalker.  His birth name was Ben Solo prior to taking on the name of Kylo Ren.  At one point he was trained by Luke Skywalker at his new Jedi School.  While at the school he was recruited and seduced to the Dark Side by Snoke.  Snoke then made Ben into one of his elite members of the Knights of Ren.  Ben betrayed Skywalker killing many of the other students at the Jedi School.  After the loss of the Jedi School, Luke went into hiding and Ben joined Snoke and his First Order.

    Force Awakens:
Kylo Ren is hunting for fragments of the map that lead to the last Jedi Luke Skywalker.  This leads him to capturing Resistance Pilot Poe Dameron on the planet of Jakku.   The map fragment barely escapes him when Poe puts the map fragment into his astromech droid BB-8 prior to his capture.  A stormtrooper Finn then defects with Poe Dameron creating a new threat to First Order.  The First Order is approaching completion of the Star Killer base and do not want the Resistance to know of its existence.  With the threat of this information Kylo begins furiousily chase after Finn and his new found companion Rey.  The pair join with the Astromech BB-8 and manage to escape on the Millenium Falcon from the planet of Jakku

First Order Spies alert the Kylo Ren that Finn and Rey have landed at the bar / fortress of Maz Kanata.  The First Order attacks and before being counter attacked by the Resistance manage to capture Rey.  Kylo senses that the force is strong with Rey and is curious about who she is.  His attempt to mentally pull information out of her backfire when she is able to revert it back on him.  This greatly angers him that someone so new to the force is able to stop him.  She later manages to escape and he gives chase.

The Resistance strikes the Star Killer Station, where Han Solo, Finn and Chewbaca manage to meet up with Daisy.  Kylo attempts to stop the resistance group from bombing the station but is met by his father Han Solo.  Kylo kills Han Solo much to the dismay of Rey, Finn and Chewbaca.

Kylo Ren then battles Finn and Rey as they attempt to escape the crumbling base.  Finn has in his possession the light saber of Anakin Skywalker and both Finn and Rey duel with Kylo.  Eventaully, Rey gets the better of Kylo and cuts him on his face.  A chasm opens up between the two prior to Kylo being able retaliate.  Finn and Rey escape leaving Kylo to wonder who Rey is.

Snoke who has trained Kylo in the ways of the Darkside asks Kylo to return so that his training can be complete.

    Light Saber:
Kylo Ren uses a distinctive light saber that has a cross guard (2 blades jutting out perpendicular from the main blade).  Kylo Ren constructed the lightsaber himself in the Sith/ Jedi fashion.
Some have also described its blade as unusually jagged for a light saber.

It is said that the cross guard is a release of energy from the lightsaber and while this is an ancient design it also seems to be caused by Kylo Ren not being a true Sith/Jedi master.   The rawness of the lightsaber is also shown by how it violently flickers.

    Appearance:
He has been shown wearing a mask that bears a resemblance to the mask of Darth Vader.
Dressed in black clothes and armor that has a cowl.

    Pictures:
Last Jedi Kylo Ren is revealed to have scar from where he was struck by Rey in their light saber battle.

    Krylorians

    Overview:
Krylorians have a limited comic history and are best known for the character Bereet and for being the race of the fusia skinned characters in the 2014 movie Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Location:
Krylorians are space faring and are spread all over.
However their home world is on the planet Krylor

    Home Planet: Krylor
    Starsystem: Aceta
    Galaxy: Andromeda

    Physical Identifiers.
Krylorians are humanoid with reddish skin, hollow bones, and feathers for eye brows.  They are descended from an avian ancestor similar to the Shi'ar.  While the Shi'ar are physically far stronger than humans, Krylorians are about as strong as humans.
In the Cinema universe they do not appear to have feathers for eye brows and they have small scars/indents on their face.

    Government
The government on Krylor is a democratic republic.  They are mostly peaceful.

    Technology:
Krylorians have advanced technology that includes manipulation of matter as well as interstellar travel.
They use this technology to create hyper real forms of art that appear to be real.  A Techno Artist merges cinema, music with real life.  It is a bit like reality television shows like Survivor but where the cast does not realize they are in a show.  This creates confusion in many humans and Earth Super Heroes who can not tell the difference between what is meant to be art and real when dealing with Krylorians.  This was particularly true of the Hulk who was something of a celebrity on Krylor.  This is why the famous Krylorian Techno Artist Bereet comes to Earth to do a documentary on the Hulk.

    Cinema:
In the movie the Guardians of the Galaxy there are a few prominent Krylorians depicted.   They are the fusia skinned people milling around. Many Krylorians seem to live on the planet Xandar.  No major male Krylorians are shown however there are three to four Krylorian female characters.

    1) Bereet - Bereet is aboard Peter Quill's ship for a tryst.  She wakes up when Star Lord returns to the ship from retrieving the orb on Morag.  In the comics Bereet is a character who becomes fascinated with the Earth hero the Hulk.  She is a techno artist which is basically a movie director and rockstar rolled into one.  As a Techno Artist she creates life like movies for other Krylorians to enjoy.

    2) Carina - The Collector's assistant appears to be a Krylorian.  In the comics she is his daughter but in the movie she seems to be his slave.  She dies trying to use the infinity power gem to escape his clutches.

    3) The Collector's former assistant is shown in a cage.  The collector uses her presence as a warning to Carina not to act out.

    4)  Rhoman Dey of Nova Corps is shown to have a Krylorian wife and a Xandarian/Krylorian  daughter.

X-O Manowar faces off against new alien Bounty Hunters

Please Share and Follow us on Twitter!

X-O Manowar has been my favorite series of 2017.  I loved the first issue, the 2nd etc.  Its just a great series with a fun story, great characters, and amazing, drippingly beautiful sci fi art.  So far in the run Aric has gone from a farmer, to a soldier, to a general, to a full on space Emperor.  In X-O Manowar we are introduced to a new threat a group of elite alien bounty hunters which may become backbone villains in the series.  Who could challenge Aric now that he is the Emperor of Gorin and still has the ultrapowerful X-O Manowar suit?  Apparently, the best alien bounty hunters in each sector think they can take him on.

The upcoming story is said to draw from Western stories and epic sci fi stories like Star Wars.

In an interview with Newsarama the owner of Valiant Dinesh Shamdasani added that the bounty hunters are:
completely different from one another… These seven characters could launch their own books – they’re that fascinating and that interesting.
    and added:

Absolutely, we built X-O Manowar #10 even before we had launched issue #1 of the series as a milestone in this run. This is going to be their first appearance, but we have large plans for these characters. They’ll have a prominent role in the next arc and then we go to Harbinger Wars 2…and then we’re coming back to the bounty hunters. They’ll have a large impact on the universe going forward.

    Who is Madame Hydra?

    Who is Madame Hydra?

Madame Hydra is a villain that has battled Captain America and SHIELD many times as part of the organization Hydra.  Madame Hydra appears in Agents of SHIELD Season 4 and is played by actress Mallory Jansen.

First Appearance:  Captain America #110 (Vol 1 1969)

    Real Name: Ophelia Sarkissian

Alias(es): Madame Hydra, Viper, Green Queen, White Warrior Princess

    Madame Hydra News:

    Madame Hydra Multi-Media:

    Bio:

Ophelia Sarkissian is among twelve girls taken to a Hydra base and raised by the trainer Kraken. Of the 12 students at the base Ophelia was Kraken's best student. Ophelia was a ruthless agent and terrorist willing to do anything to complete a mission. She was released from the program and became a high ranking agent of Hydra and eventually became a leader within the organization. As a leader she took on the moniker of Madame Hydra. Working for Hydra she came into many conflicts with Captain America and SHIELD.

For a time she helped the super villain Jordan Stryke aka Viper however this partnership ended when she assassinated him and took over his codename. Using this code name attempted to gain control of Roxxxon. She also created a group called the Serpent Squad. She was defeated by Nomad and the Sub Mariner. As the leader of the Serpent Squad she came into contact with many super villains and became known as power player in the world's black markets. She used a variety of super villains as henchmen including Boomerang, Constrictor, Slither, Puff Adder,Tyrannus, Fer-De-Lance, Black Racer, Copperhead, Cobra and Silver Samurai.

For a time Viper believed she was the mother of Spider-Woman Jessica Drew but this was later
revealed to be a false memory implanted by the dark god Chthon.

As Viper she became a villain of the X-Men and New Mutants after attempting to kill Mariko Yashida to win the graces of Silver Samurai. She also attempted to kill Storm and Rogue on various occasions. She then battled the New Mutants where she seemed to kill Karma (Later changed).

Returning to the world of villainy beneath her old of moniker of Madame Hydra she joined with the Red Skull. However, this ended when he learned she was using resources to finance massacres that served no purpose.

For a time she was married to the X-Man Wolverine after she had blackmailed the hero into the relationship. The marriage helped her gain control of the criminal world of Madripor.  This ended when she was possessed by the spirit of Ogun and mortally wounded by Wolverine.  Wolverine demanded a divorce for taking her to the hospital.  She maintained control of Madripor for sometime but was eventually forced out due to Tony Stark and Tyger Tiger.  Tyger took control of Madripor after Viper.

Another Madame Hydra appears in the form Contessa Allegra de Fontaine who wears a head gear with Hydra tentacles. She however appears to later be working for the group Leviathan. Fontaine shoots and kills Viper however when Hydra arrives they use Hive to resurrect her. After Hive is taken off of her body she resumes the mantle of Madame Hydra.

She is revealed to have retaken Madripor from Tyga and using the moniker of Green Queen in the Death of Wolverine story.

    Powers:
She has no known powers.  It is possible she was experimented on and has a super human longevity.

Viper/Madame Hydra is extremely well trained espionage agent that includes martial combat, terrorism, impersonation, and stealth.
She has shown to be high proficient with ranged and bladed weapons.

She also has a great deal of organization skill in managing terror and criminal organizations.

    Toylab Fun Speculation:
mystery woman 2 avengers age of ultron

We initially suspected that Madame Hydra would appear in the film Age of Ultron due to a fast clip in Age of Ultron Trailer 2 that depicts a woman walking through the Hydra fortress with 2 guns. Based off the red bands on her arms she did not appear to be Black Widow. As it was a Hydra base we then came to the conclusion that Madame Hydra was going to be in the film.

There is in an house theory among some of our bloggers that Joss Whedon had planned to use Madame Hydra but pulled her out so that she could be used in Agents of SHIELD. This would basically be done as favor to his brother Jed. It may have also been done because the movie was getting too long and this was where they decided it was best to cut. This may also explain why Baron Von Strucker is seemingly struck down so quickly in the film. There would have been an extra action sequence before that scene.

Other bloggers disagree and think this is unused footage of Black Widow sporting guns she ripped off of Hydra soldiers within the Hydra fortress.

As it is the clip has yet to be explained. Madame Hydra is going to make her first appearance though in Agents of SHIELD Season 4.

    MCU:

Madame Hydra appears in the ABC Marvel show Agents of SHIELD.  She is played by actress Mallory Jansen.  Madame Hydra is the evolution of the character AIDA in the show that was initially teased at the end of Season 3.

MCU in the finale of Agents of SHIELD Season 3 Doctor Holden Radcliffe was seen talking with what appeared to be computer A.I. named AIDA that Holden had just finished downloading into a phsycial body.  This seems to mark the beginning of both AIDA as character in the MCU as well as the beginning of LMDs (Life Model Decoys).

AIDA makes a startling appearance in Episode 1 of Season 4.  Fitz goes to meet Dr Radcliff only to encounter a beautiful and very nude woman. Very embarrassed Fitz apologizes for barging in. Radcliff then begins to explain what AIDA is and how she mimics humans behaviors. AIDA he explains is different than the AI like Ultron in that she is limited to mimicry. Fitz is seemingly still worried about what Dr Radcliff is doing as he is later shown sleeping uncomfortably. It is possible that the existence of AIDA could cause wedge between Fitz and Simmons. Simmons is currently a trusted adviser of the new Director. Meanwhile Fitz does not want to turn in Radcliff for creating AIDA as he believes the technology has merit.

Radcliff ends up using AIDA to read and decode the magical book the Dark Hold.  Radcliff secretly wants to gain hold of the Darkhold and begins using AIDA and a host of LMDs to replace agents with the androids.  The initial bid fails but Radcliff manages to stay in place by explaining that the Darkhold had negatively influenced AIDA.   Radcliff manages to get hold of the Darkhold in part by joining with the anti-Inhuman Watchdog group led by the Superior.  Radcliff and AIDA begin constructing a fully artificial world called the Frame Work.  The Frame Work is Radcliff's dream of achieving immortality.  AIDA prime directive is to protect the Frame Work however she decides the best way to do that is to kill Radcliff.  She slits his throat and forces his consciousness to remain in the Frame Work.

The world of the Frame Work is revealed to be a world where Hydra has taken control of the world.  In this world AIDA has the persona of the well known comic character Madame Hydra.

Marvels Agent of Shield speculation HUB

    The End of Miles Morales?

Ever since it was announced that Brian Michael Bendis announced that he was leaving Marvel for DC rumors have swirled at what the implications could be for characters that Bendis created or helped evolve.  Top of the list of speculation are Jessica Jones and Miles Morales.

With this backdrop occurring many eyeballs have gone to the title Bendis is finishing up called Spider-Men II that focuses on Miles.  While Miles has now been using the Spider-Man mantle for awhile it has taken some adjustment inside the main 616 Marvel universe he finds himself in.  While Peter Parker died in the Ultimate Universe that Miles is from in this universe Parker is still well and alive.  Parker is also using the Spider-Man name.  This has begun generating a question in Miles as to whether he should continue to use the Spider-Man name or find a new one.  There is even the chance that Miles could choose to retire and not go forward being a hero at all.  Spider-Man II focuses heavily on the origin of Miles and his analysis of the Spider-Man name and what it means to be Spider-Man.

In Spider-Man II #5 Miles begins to come to some grim conclusions.

What path will Miles take?  That is not yet clear but this series does give Bendis a chance to plot the path forward for his beloved take on Spider-Man.

Curiously even as Miles struggles with identity in the 616 universe Marvel has begun to tease that the Ultimates Universe may infact still exist.  This could mean that Ultimate characters like Miles could return to that universe and resume  their superheroic careers there instead of struggling to find a place in the 616 universe.

One question will be how fans take the idea of Miles not being Spider-Man anymore.  Many people have heralded the move of creating a black Spider-Man.  Spider-Man is the most popular Marvel character and arguably the most popular comic character of all time.  That said Marvel has never made Miles "the" Spider-Man due to the fact they still want to make money off of the traditional Peter Parker variant.  Miles has always been the Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe or one of the Spider-Men existing in the 616 universe.  A name change may allow him to differentiate himself and gain more of a following.

There are examples of successful characters following in the name of original like Tony Stewart in Green Lantern and there are also examples of a character finding a new following by altering his name.  One major example of this would be Rhodey who initially used the Iron Man name but later went off in his own name of War Machine.  A major part of War Machine's success was his ability to capitalize on unique skills and weaknesses from the original making him more than a simple spin off.  Mile's success beneath a different name may depend on much the same thing.  Another major name change was Dick Grayson's change from the side kick Robin into lone hero Nightwing.  The Nightwing name came to reflect a graduation of sorts to a more serious hero.  There is a fear though that once Miles leaves behind the Spider-Man mantle that he could fade into obscurity.

What do you think of Mile's future?  Should he continue to use the name Spider-Man or are you excited to see what mantle he creates for himself?
