So as I said, and resaid and hollered to everyone around me, I have been trying to write a review of DAREDEVIL SEASON 2 this weekend. I TRIED to keep it as spoiler free as possible. Honestly, if you haven't at least started to watch, you just kinda suck! As with all of my reviews, I always try to comment on what I didn't like first. The ONLY thing that comes to mind is, how they killed Elektra (Elodie Yung).

The person who killed her did not track with the comic at all! While it kept pace with the series as a whole, it makes me wonder if we are EVER going to see Bullseye? Other than that, I couldn't find much wrong with this season at all. Before I go too far, I must mention the BEST comic book line EVER uttered by Nobu Yoshioka (Peter Shinkoda).
“Daredevil must die!”

Preview of Daredevil Season 2:

It's wasn't just what he said but how he said, the setting and the reaction of The Foot Ninjas nearby. I don't know if it was a happenstance or planned out but, it was sheer perfection! The casting of John Bernthal as Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher was sublime! Maybe the guy who's in charge of casting for this series should have been on board when it came time to cast Lex Luthor Jr. on Batman v. Superman. The fight choreography was fantastic but not as much as the dialogue between the two.

As they verbally spar, you see that they are different sides of the same coin. Daredevil believes that everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves. While Castle has a rigid code that once you break the law, you should be punished...with death! I did have a concern about the series as it relates to the comic series. I knew that Foggy (Elden Henson) and Matt Murdock a.k.a Daredevil constantly went through rough patches.  But, was there ever a time in the comic where they actually went their separate ways? Also I liked the evolution of
Karen Page this season. To see her go from victim to assistant and now reporter is refreshing to see. See what I did there? Nearly NO spoilers!

I think over the next few weeks, I will write reviews on 3-4 episodes at a time. That way, it will give people more time to watch and give me time to recover from whatever the Hell it is that I caught this weekend.

Nuff Said!

More Sir Kent! and MORE DAREDEVIL!
