Inhumans #8 - Why did Marvel choose to double orders?

Welcome to a real life mystery.  Marvel has chosen to double orders of the next issue of Inhumans #8.  This is a pretty rare move, especially for an #8 issue.  Normally, more numbers are issued on 1's and 10's and 100's.  Why would Marvel do this?

BECAUSE SOMETHING MASSIVE IS GOING DOWN ON NEXT WEEKS AGENTS OF SHIELD!!!

This comic is relased today right after we learn that the Agents of SHIELD are heading likely toward an Inhumans city. There are seem to be some strong parallells with what is going on in TV and what is happening in the comic.

If you are an Agents of SHIELD fan then this is my absolute top recommendation to pick up. I picked up Inhuman's #7 up on a whim (I liked the cover).  I was really surprised about how good it was.  Soule the writer of the book is doing a bang up job.  The current story feels like a fresher less convoluted X-Men story of old.  With that said #8 promises to be a quality book, of that I have no doubt.  That really does not explain the doubling of orders on Inhumans #8 though.  That type of thing means Marvel is predicting a massive increase in interest.

Of course there is the underlying mega reason to pick it up...

What are Black Bolt and Maximus up to?  Why are they not joining up with the other Inhumans.  They seem to be on a mission, they seem to be searching for something...maybe a.....City???

Also what is this mysterious Codex item that Black Bolt has?  Could it be a parallel item to the Obelisk/Diviner found on Agents of SHIELD.

My take:

I think Inhumans #8 is going to have massive implications in both the comics and film universe.  MASSIVE IMPLICATIONS.
Marvel has been trying to find a way around its mutant problem and the Inhumans are their answer.  What is the Mutant problem?  Any time Marvel creates a character that is a mutant, then Fox acquire the film license to the character through their X-Men license.  This was fine and good when Marvel did not have its own film studio but now that it does, it wants to retain all its content that it possibly can.  Marvel's own movies could compete against a new character based movie they just made for Fox.  What has made this even more problematic is that Marvel has long found the easiest way to create a character is simply to call them a mutant.

I think the codex is going to unleash a massive change in the universe that may make new characters, and alter old ones.  They may wipe out the mutant X genes from everyone, effectively getting rid of mutants.  From now on we will not be hearing about mutants, we will be hearing about Inhumans.  This will both drum up interest in the film in 2018 and also allow Marvel to retain the film rights to new characters created in its universe.

Agents of SHIELD seems to be following a similar route potentially unleashing something massive in the film universe.

In both worlds it seems they have a key to a hidden city, in Inhumans it is the codex, in Agents of SHIELD it is the diviner.

Hold on to your butts True Believers!
